Merry Christmas

I hope you are having a Merry Christmas wherever you are.

Christmas isn't the biggest of the holidays for our family, we've gotten away from the commercial aspects for the most part. My child and I baked cookies last weekend...I guess it's probably okay at this point to stop with the ambiguity and confirm I have a daughter...which I suspect you already assumed.

I'm making a filet this evening and may take a bath in my big bathtub. I can imagine if you were here we'd be celebrating with your family. I wonder if they are within driving distance or if we'll have to fly. I look forward to the journey.

I can imagine sitting with them and them being pleased with the joy they see but knowing they don't truly understand it's roots. Or maybe they do? Do you have that openness with them? So many questions I look forward to finding the answers to.
