If I'm Going to Watch...

I really don't enjoy television much anymore though I have yet to overcome the need, when alone, of having the noise of something going on my computer when I sleep.

I listen to Grey's Anatomy, Sons of Anarchy, Dexter, The Walking Dead, or Friday Night Lights typically. Occasionally I will go for True Blood or regress to Gossip Girl or Vampire Diaries. Sometimes Law and Order SVU but it does tend to give me nightmares. I don't actually watch with intention, I listen in the background...every now and then I'm awake and catch a few minutes of something new.

I'm more likely to watch a movie, but even that is rare. I struggle to focus for the two hours necessary. If I'm going to watch a movie, I tend to like to watch something I know is going to be good as opposed to risking wasting time on something new.

The Departed, Fight Club, The Abyss, Apollo 13, Shawshank Redemption, The Truman Show, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Saving Private Ryan, The Sixth Sense, Enemy of the State, Butterfly Effect, Frailty, Braveheart, Gladiator, Draft Day, Miracle, Into the Wild, Seven, Thelma and Louise, Heat, Lord of the Rings (just the original series), Fargo, Spotlight, The Forgotten, World War Z, Top Gun, Forest Gump, The World According to Garp, Primal Fear, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Bohemian Rhapsody, Natural Born Killers, True Romance, The Firm, The Big Short, Independence Day, Runaway Jury, Lord of War, The Pelican Brief, Mr. Brooks, Contact, The Impossible, Arlington Road, A Few Good Men, Silence of the Lambs, The Matrix, Kiss of Death, The Killer Inside Me, Crimson Tide, Mississippi Burning, American Beauty, The Blind Side, American History X are all movies I'll go back and rewatch.

I do have a few chick-flick movies I am a sucker for...Dirty Dancing, Always, Steel Magnolias, Meet Joe Black, Gone with the Wind, The Secretary, The Lover, Valmont, Nina Takes a Lover, Almost Famous, Stealing Heaven, The Horse Whisperer, Titanic (reluctantly), The Family Man, Father of the Bride, Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken, Sixteen Candles, Less than Zero, Keith, Chasing Amy, Beautiful Girls, Rumor Has it, Brokeback Mountain, Fried Green Tomatoes, Serendipity, The Notebook, Dare, The Time Travelers Wife, You've Got Mail, Edward Scissorhands, As Good As it Gets, Original Sin, Ghost, Pretty Woman, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Wild Orchid

Did I mention I have a lame sense of humor? "Funny" movies I like...Office Space, Grumpy Old Men, Liar Liar, Big...um...yeah...those are all that come to mind.

I will admit to indulging in the Divergent Series, Hunger Games, Twilight (though I think the acting is terrible...I have no good excuse), and Atlas Shrugged (though the movies are HORRIBLE in comparison to the book)

I like sports or music oriented documentaries.

But like these movies as I do...many I haven't seen in years...they just give a flavor of what I tend to watch when I do.

I like to watch football and will seek that out. I also admit to watching Survivor, Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, sometimes I'll get into the Bachelor/Bachelorette.

If I have network TV available, I gravitate toward home shows and cooking shows when there is nothing left to do.

Oh yeah...and porn...Kink.com in the good old days...it sucks now. Paid fetlife is pretty good.
